In late September 2021, our Subsea Department delivered the Flexible Support Clamp to one of our customers in Brazil.
IK-Group's team has developed a solution for the ROV-operated combined clamp for riser sealing and riser support with a lifetime of 20 years. With an operational water depth of approx. 90 m., the clamp will be mounted over a flexible line. From then, the clamp shall be able to provide a stable connection to the existing structure and finally, the clamp will be able to secure the flexible riser.
This project utilised a unique packer design, which was successfully tested for the first time at IK-Group and will be used in future projects.
