The AOGV was installed on two locations at site to isolate the seawater line to facilitate replacement of valves. The AOGV was installed at the valve flange and verified as a safe barrier by leak-testing the barriers such as joints, packers, seals, and plugs. Following the positive isolation by blind spade, the old valve could be disconnected from the line and replace with a new valve. The system was then reinstated by connecting the new valve to the line with a new flange gasket.

The AOGV was then disassembled, packed, and shipped back to shore.

The operation was performed on a platform on the NCS (Norwegian Continental Shelf).
