Board

Hans Olav holds an MSc from NTNU, gained in 1984 and Master of Energy Economics IFP (1988).  He has extensive industrial entrepreneur experience within oil and gas technology and service companies, and as co-founder of MPM Multi Phase Meters, TracID and Roxar. 

Hans Olav’s experience also includes working in private equity and venture sectors and with oil majors. 

Arnstein has degrees in Electronics/Cybernetics from the University of Stavanger and UMIST in Manchester. He has worked within research, development and commercialisation of technology for over 25 years and is the co-founder of MPM (Multi Phase Meters), which developed and commercialised a new concept for multiphase flow measurements. The technology was invented and patented by Arnstein and the company sold to TechnipFMC. MPM meters are used by the oil industry worldwide for production management, fiscal measurement and ownership allocation. He is also a co-founder of TracID, which has developed and commercialised RFID technology for the oil industry and the aquaculture industry.    

Arnstein also has a background in venture and private equity, both as an investor and as a board member of start-up companies and larger industrial companies. He is currently the leader and main owner of Eppus AS, which he established in 2001. Eppus AS is an investment company that also engages in technology development, with focus on machine learning and artificial intelligence.   

Christian hold an MSc NTNU, gained in 1982. He has extensive operator experience, including Elf Aquitaine (now Total) and Saga Petroleum. Christian also gained significant industrial experience as a Project Manager for Cameron, Managing Director and founder of RC Subsea, Project Manager and Country Manager of Halliburton (Rockwater and Brown & Root Energy Services), CEO of Smedvig (now Seadrill) and Managing Director for Plugging Specialist International (now TDW Offshore).   

Christian joined IK-Group as Managing Director and Chairman in 2006 and has been CEO and a member of the IK Board since 2018. In addition, he has held 13 external Board Memberships, mainly within technology companies.   

Christian has over 36 years’ experience in the offshore and subsea industry. He gained an MSc. in Structural Engineering from NTNU in 1983 and has worked in various roles including Project Engineer, Lead Engineer, Project Manager, Technical Director and Managing Director for companies such as Halliburton Subsea, RC-Subsea, Aker and Norpipe. 

Christian joined IK in 2001 with a remit to head up projects and management related to repair and modifications of pipelines, riser and flowlines. His experience includes engineering as well as delivery of EPC projects.
